Where fake and malicious QR codes have turned up. Blue pins are incidents documented by police, courts, and local news in 24 cities. Red pins are sightings reported by people who scanned a bad code with susQR (3 so far).
Found a bad QR code? Scan it and, if it's flagged, tell us where you saw it. Locations are rounded so no exact address is ever stored.

About this map
The documented layer comes from our city-by-city incident pages, each entry linked to its source. The community layer is built from scans on susQR that came back medium risk or worse: after the verdict we ask where the code was found (a parking meter, a gas pump, an Instagram post, a text message). Online sources have no pin but are counted in the table. We show what kind of scam it was, never the link itself, so nobody can copy a bad URL off the map.
